"I have no idea what this person is talking about, but it sure seems like they do, so I'm just gonna fully back whatever it is they're saying" --Typical Californian

It's not untrue. Why do you think we elected Ahnold governor? Twice!

Dunno, Armisen sounds almost Canadian (or at least Mike-Meyers-as-Wayne-esque) and Karina's way too non-rhotic to be from anywhere west of, say, Philadelphia and isn't finishing nearly as many of her declarative statements with a rising inflection as a real Southern Californian would be.

Like, I think that is really, like, the key to the "Southland" accent? You just phrase, like, most of your declarative sentences in, like, the form of a question? And you, like, phrase your questions with a downward inflection, with that inflection, like, getting sharper as the question gets, like, more accusatory? Like, you think you, like, get it now.

do you, like, think that you're, like, an expert on southern cali or something???

Aloha is 180th, so as "out there" from downtown as Felony Flats. Still stoked I don't live there anymore.

The SoCal accent you're describing is an Orange County/SFV thing. Nobody east (Inland Empire) or south (San Diego) of there sounds like that.
