did argonaut ano those cranks? i remember on instagram they talked about wanting to try it.
  • jerryjerry Riding Level: 4,316
yeah and in interviews they were referring to it as a proprietary tinting process that they were still keeping secret.

naw dawg, you ano'd some cranks.

    Lol
Idk, I don't even think they went as far as anodizing it atmo. The logos were still retained, and the way it's texturized on the normally polished portion leads me to think it's possibly just sort of transparent paint they used.

Another stand out was the stealth tinted Dura Ace crank. Ben felt that the polished portion of the crank would clash with the paint job, so Eric figured out a way to apply a tint over the polished metal. Even Ben wasn’t sure how it was done, and Eric is apparently keeping the technique to himself. Regardless, it looks sweet in person.
edit: just saw jerry already said this

  • CekteCekte Riding Level: 1,159

Dungey is a painter, so yeah, it's probably sanded, transparent black, white decal or white paint masked, then clear on top.
