Naturally Disastrous! Hey! I'm going through this Earthquake preparedness city program. https://www.portlandoregon.gov/pbem/31667?

Mostly to save my own ass but you know, maybe I'll stop to help someone out. Wanna join? Cool! Class starts September 14th. It's free and they try to get you to volunteer but you don't actually have to.

There is this subsidiary program that requires the above training and a background check to actually volunteer. http://www.portlandoregon.gov/pbem/59630

Short training that needs six or more to do. Lemme know. Feed back from young and old has been positive, I guess it's real practical training for the great big mean earthquake.

Is anyone interested in continuing my wallowas Whitman discovery this summer?

I'm going to plan two different short trips, one to scout the upper Whitman forest and explore some old mining areas, then a hiking weekend to find a way from Lord flat to buckhorn overlook.
Probably both 3 day weekends in July

Anyone want to bike out for the eclipse in August?
I'm thinking 80 miles south on roads then 10 miles on forest service roads.
  • MiguelMiguel Riding Level: 2,327
How do you feel about camping Sunday night in Salem and then ~80 mile morning to lunch ride during the eclipse? I have a "campsite"
  • tvcbtvcb Riding Level: 1,388
If you have a lead on a good spot that would be fun then I may be in to join. I think I might be taking a few days off so I haven't decided if this is a short trip or part of a 4-day

Campsite is my inlaws property in dallas, OR, west of Salem. Tons of gravel. Nearabout the rickreall gravel classic route
