Thanks to @cekte and @jerry ... Here is my new whip. Happy with the way it came out. Ordered the frame from the first batch made, but had to wait to build it all up completely.

I guess I'm not 100% satisfied, the bars need to change.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not much into riding fixed as of late--been more into geared riding. But I was once super into track riding, even having raced at Kissena before I moved to PDX. That said, I have a really nice Kalavinka NJS complete track bike that I'd love to add to your marketplace and see if I can't get a better reception for it than on CL. So my motives for joining are mild interest in fixed culture, but also to sell my Kalavinka for a fair price. If that's cool, please add me to the community! Thx!

    Haha! Outed!

It's the same Kalinkydink somebody called out from the CL thread before, still for sale. Here's a saucy pic to get you moist.

Reminds me of the time I joined Serotta forum just so I could unload parts and then I got called out and banned for 90 days.

    WELCOME HOME
Woo so I finally made it out. Been spending most of my time around NE/N, but I'd like to ride everywhere if anyone wants to show me around. I forgot everything and half of the city looks different :(

If anyone sees my bike around, love notes are appreciated

I think that frame might be a bit too big for you
    But welcome!
  • maldorormaldoror Riding Level: 11
Yeah it might be, but I've been stuck with it for 6 years now. I've actually never been properly fitted, so my gauge has been whether or not I can straddle it flat footed (I can) and if it feels comfortable while riding. I could probably raise the saddle a little. I hastily put it back together a couple days ago after shipping.

I like to learn about this stuff. Are there easier ways to tell beyond getting measured?

    whoa, like the TV company?????

"Proper fit" just means being comfortable on your bike...

  • MiguelMiguel Riding Level: 2,322
    I don't even

You can start by leveling out the saddle. The saddle should be level. You will hurt your knees and arms if it stays the way it is.
