if you have to have boutique aluminum, this guy made spookys for a while, founding welder of yeti before that

    otherwise why not caad?
  • JoshJosh Riding Level: 824
Yeah I already have a CAAD10. I'm not wanting to get an aluminum bike; was just curious if Spooky used other materials besides aluminum, since that's all I've ever seen.

I've been having a boner for winter bikes ever since I went to a showcase at velocult back in January.
they had this nice CX with green decals and bartape...
    SO GOOD!
  • MiguelMiguel Riding Level: 2,322
not sure that's a cx bike? he's making his 'tool' series (off the peg, standard sizes, minor customizations) in that colourway

which is a road frame? i think i remember a knobby tire-d one at the orhmbs?

but you should hop on one of these
    image
    and ask for disc mounts
  • outofstep Riding Level: 19
The one I saw was that black one with green decals.
From what I remember when I asked about it, I THINK it was a team cx bike...but who knows, fuck my memory in da butt.

even the touring and commuter type of set ups I saw were amazing.
I may have to put an order in with them in about a year or so!

And to keep this thread alive, here is my contribution:
GT Edge with a mix of Mavic and DA 7700.

looking to get a wound up fork, a better stem, a CK headset, different seatpost (thomson?), some king cages and a new wheelset.
    any recommendations?

I may end up throwing on a 10 speed campy group in the near future, but that's still up in the air!
