Your front wheel is a HED or Specialized wheel, not a Zipp
  • tvcbtvcb Riding Level: 1,388
If you're hoping to get more than $1000 for any bike you should probably list more than one vague measurement
  • bouticrackabouticracka Riding Level: 308
    And fixies are over.

ooh ooh also, that back wheel is either full carbon or machined, not both.
  • S_L_D_S_L_D_ Riding Level: 453
It's also 10-11 years old. Zipp used those white-on-red decals from 2001 to 2004, and there were only 2 decals on the rim in 2001 and 2002.

At least, that's what 5 minutes of looking through old Zipp catalogs tells me.

It severely pains me to part with this, but this is only collecting dust in storage and that ain't right. My favorite build ever. Yours now?

    The frameset:
2005 Kalavinka "Super Exhibition" 58" Street Tracker, Japanese Keirin racing frame (NJS stamped)
Painted 1978 Mazda RX-7 Green, based on the original owners instructions (see link for history)
Drilled fork for front brake (from factory)
    Amazing lugwork throughout

This is a beautiful, true and somewhat legendary example of Keirin track racing and the entire build is documented on Kalavinka's site in the photo gallery (page 3): http://www.kalavinka-bikes.com/index_j.htm
The frame is insanely well kept; no tt dents or dings; there's a little scuffing on the right chain stay, but otherwise could not be in more pristine condition

    The build:
Zipp Full Carbon machined front wheel
Zipp 404 Full Carbon machined back wheel laced to a Suntour Superbe Pro hub (rear wheel situation is ace)
Sugino 75 crankset (geared for track)
    Dura Ace headset
    Nitto drops
    Nitto stem
Brooks leather and cork bar wrap
    Shimano Ultegra
    Shimano MTB clipless pedals
    Yellow Sella Italia Turbo saddle
    Kashimax top tube protector

    Thanks for looking.
